SAMPLE REPORT
GSS Contractor's Reports (Home Inspection Reports) typically have from 12 to 22 pages of information, depending on the size and complexity of the property written specifically about the property in question. This report, a format uniquely developed and refined by Rik Goodell has very minimal boiler-plate.

The singular GSS report reflects the inspector's findings in a mix of pre-printed form pages and narrative style, original reporting. In keeping with GSS' mission to make the information readily accessible, systems are summarized on six overview pages. We know you are busy so we want you to be able to find what needs to be done, and to understand its importance. But you will also want to have access to details.

So, where appropriate, supplemental facts and theories and recommendations are written in the narrative sections of the report. It's strongly suggested that you attend an inspection when possible but, if you are busy, let's get to the bottom line. When booking your inspection appointment, you may arrange to only show up for the last hour of Rik's time on-site so he can walk you through your house.

It is also true that most people will be more inclined to act appropriately if they grasp the importance or consequences of a problem. The benefits of completing the recommended corrections must be understood by the person making the ultimate decision to do so. To that end, Mr. Goodell will spend time on-site explaining to you his observations and opinions and then will be available to answer additional questions that may come up after you get your report.

Reports typically are sent out within two business days of the inspection but can usually be completed for more prompt delivery when pre-arranged.
